Description
The HP-Sleep (HP-S) head protection helmet is an exceptionally light head protector for use in bed. With good deceleration qualities and a highly defined fit. The Sleep soft head protection is naturally breathable, and the outer layer is high-quality super soft leather.
An adjustable chin strap provides good hold and can also incorporate a chin guard. The HP-Sleep disability helmet has comfortable soft padding made of foam layers to prevent pressure whilst sleeping. This head protector is particularly appropriate for patients who suffer from fits, seizures, falls or other issues whilst in bed or asleep.
Our range of head protection hats and helmets helps reduce impacts caused by many different conditions.
Including:
- Epilepsy
- Autism (head banging)
- Dementia
- Drop seizures
- ADHD
- Alzheimer’s
- Developmental disabilities
- Falls
- and more.
The HP-Soft helmet for sleep is exceptionally light. However due to its high density foam filling it is highly effective at protecting from impacts.
This soft special needs helmet can also have a “closed/covered top” which offers protection from impacts from above. Or semi-open as standard, to resist knocks from the top.
The HP-S has an adjustable chin strap as a standard that offers excellent hold and comfort.
This means that the hat can stay secure on the head, even during a fall.
There is also the option of a padded chin protector, for additional protection
Each HP-S head protector is manufactured individually to order. Supplied millimeter-perfect, which helps to keep it in place.
The internal perforated lining of the HP-Sleep gives excellent moisture transport (wicking) for added comfort whilst sleeping. With its open-top it allows even more airflow to the head, however this option is not suitable if the user is impacting the top of the head during sleep.
The HP-Sleep soft helmet can be spot-cleaned using natural leather cleaner like a hypoallergenic leather/suede cleaner.
The HP-Sleep is available in natural/beige super-soft brushed leather.
Standard sizes for the HP-Sleep are: 45 to 62 cm head circumference. Custom sizes are available as a special order.
We can normally provide you a HP-Sleep with just a few measurements. We can send you a guide on how to provide these measurements.

If a helmet is damaged in any way, it should not be worn. We would like to emphasize that there is no known device or helmet for preventing 100% of all injuries. Only you, the customer or user, are in a position to evaluate the particular needs of the individual in each environment. It is, therefore, essential that professional and medical expertise be sought in making decisions regarding headgear use.
