Modern Slavery Statement

24-7 Healthcare Limited (247) are a trading name of Saadia Limited. The company does not meet the legal requirements under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (having a turnover of less than £36m). However, we understand the potential impact of Modern Slavery on individuals and our business and have therefore published this statement to evidence our commitment to this cause.

The Management Team will always ensure that we and our staff work ethically and morally and uphold our obligations throughout all our business activities.

Policy Commitments

247 Commit to:

  • Working to the British Healthcare Trades Association Code of Conduct which has been approved by the Government Office of Fair Trade.
  • Not tolerating behaviour within the business that is illegal, unethical or that breaches human rights.
  • Ensuring we monitor our suppliers, and their extended supply chain, mirror these commitments to the best of our ability.
  • Share our aspirations and train our staff on what it means to work at and be part of 247 as well as our individual and collective responsibilities. Staff must agree to comply with our policies as part of their terms and conditions.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of our procedures and continually improve them.

We also have an Approved Supplier Process, which includes Modern Slavery checks as part of an initial questionnaire and subsequent independent audits to ensure they adopt our Code and assist us in our efforts to prevent modern slavery.
We acknowledge that this is a continually changing landscape, and we commit to monitoring Government portals and shared best practice to ensure we are:

  • Made aware of new Modern Slavery activities, and.
  • Implement suitable measures to prevent it occurring within our business and supply chain.

Our focus will be to strengthen existing due diligence processes and continually improve our procedures.

Training

We have provided training to our staff including Modern Slavery-related provisions

Training includes:

  1. How to identify signs of Modern Slavery, with particular reference to how it may occur within the UK.
  2. How individuals can and must speak up if they see something that makes them uncomfortable or that is inconsistent with our Values.
  3. An explanation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (“UNGPs”)
  • Undertaking to avoid causing or contributing to adverse human rights impacts through our business activities.
  • Seeking to prevent or mitigate adverse human rights impacts that are directly related to our operations, products and/or services, including clients and service users.

 

Grievance and Remediation

Where staff, customers or service users have any concerns regarding potential Modern Slavery activity of any type, they are encouraged to contact a member of the Management Team, who will then investigate and take the necessary action to confirm and, where valid, deal with the matter through the appropriate channels.

Any reports will be dealt with confidentially, and full anonymity is provided to those who request it. Individuals are encouraged to report without fear of retaliation, and it is explicitly noted that retaliation is a serious violation of the Code.

247 can confirm that, as of the time of publishing this statement, no modern slavery complaints have been received.
