Bariatric equipment refers to medical products made with heavier weight capacities and greater durability and sizes than standard products. There isn’t any specific weight that determines a person’s overweight; since the term is relative, products that are built to support weights of 30st (190-200Kg) or more are considered by us as bariatric. Another frequently overlooked need for bariatric devices is for tall adults who need medical products. Although they may not be overweight, very tall patients may need higher weight capacities than standard medical products offer.
