How much a stairlift costs?
The costs of stairlifts is a little different depending on where you are in the country as there is not an official stairlift grant in the UK.
I am registered disabled, are stairlifts exempt from tax?
The vast majority of stairlift customers are eligible for a VAT exemption.
Can I get council funding for my stairlift?
This is a little different depending on where you are in the country as there is not an official stairlift grant in the UK, however, if you are eligible for a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG), it is possible to get your stairlift installation either fully or partially funded by your local authority. You will need to contact them first to see what they can offer you.
Who pays for servicing?
Like the majority of electro-mechanical devices, we highly recommend that your stairlift be inspected at least once per year. Once the initial warranty period has expired, during which all your servicing needs are covered, we are happy to offer annual service contracts to ensure your stairlift continues to perform at its best for years to come.
Depending on your circumstances, you may find that a local authority can help you meet this cost however, we highly recommend that you contact them first to see if this is something that they are willing to do – as all local authorities have different guidelines and policies.
How much does it cost to run a stairlift?
After the initial purchase cost, customers often worry about the actual running costs of a stairlift i.e. how much electricity do they consume. To put your mind at ease, we have calculated that our stairlifts cost less than £10 per year to run.

We are not trying to hide anything but as you will have gathered by reading through this help & advice section, each stairlift is different and of course, we will not know which lift is compatible with your stairway until we have conducted an assessment. We also need to find out if you will require a power-point, power hinge, electronic or manual chair swivel, electronic or manual footplate and a host of other things.
