Until now, it hasn’t been possible to wear most special needs head protectors when bathing/showering, during swimming or hydrotherapy sessions as they would get heavy and they tend to perish quickly due to the chemicals in the water. However, practice and our experience shows that head protection is still essential in these areas of activity. Therefore the HP-Aqua head protection was designed & produced.

The HP-Aqua soft helmet is exceptionally light (approx.180 grams) and does not get noticeably heavier when wet.
The “Aqua” head protection is for those who are assessed to have a low to medium risk of impacts/injuries to the head.
This soft helmet is constructed with padded foam wrapped in a super soft neoprene shell. It can resist knocks to the front, back, top of the head and sides. It also protects the top of the head via impact-resistant trapezoid sections. The neoprene is extremely soft and tactile to the touch and allows the head protector to dry quickly between uses.
The HP-Aqua head protection is also anti-bacterial and resistant to the chemicals frequently used in swimming and hydrotherapy pools.
Wash or rinse through with clean water after use, which will remove any soap or chemical residue. This will extend the life of the product. Hand washable at up to 40° after washing It should be left to dry naturally away from heat sources.
The Aqua has an adjustable velcro fastening chin strap as standard that offers excellent hold and comfort. This means the protector stays secure on the head.

Standard sizes: 45 to 62 cm head circumference. The Aqua is also available in custom sizes.
