Description
A standing hoist is used when a person has difficulty standing without assistance. This is a good tool for transferring from bed to chair or similar activities. Similar to a portable hoist but not intended to be a complete full-body lift. It is generally a quick and safe way to get a person into a standing position or transferred from a bed to a chair etc.
The Vita-Lift comes with a belt and knee supports that are cushioned for patient comfort. In addition, lifting arm length and knee supports are individually adjustable to the user.
The included cable remote control grants a high degree of independence and safeguarding of privacy.
Vita Lift features & options

Cross-plate upgrade option
The cross plate upgrade provides a much more efficient & comfortable 4-point lift. In addition, this improves the comfort and stability of the user by having support from the sides and the user’s posterior.
The upgrade consists of a cross plate which is added to the lifting arm, and a unique belt/sling with in-built stiffeners that prevent the sling from twisting or pinching during the lift phase and the belt also has a soft non-slip pad in-built.

Removable footplate option
The standard footrest can be folded up for persons who are still able to walk with support but not stand up on their own.
For suitable users, the Vita Lift can also be used as a walker!
There is also the option of a removable footplate, which is useful when the Vita Lift is employed as a gait trainer/walker and its removal gives more space for the user to walk.

Wired hand controller
The Vita lift comes with a wired ergonomic hand controller with weight overload warning indicators, leg spreader buttons as well as battery condition and service/maintenance indicators clearly visible on the handset.

Padded knee protectors
The Vita lift comes with a knee protection/stabilising pad as standard. The pad is ergonomically shaped for maximum comfort & stability. It is also height adjustable to suit all heights of users. It is soft yet durable and is easily wiped clean if required.
Can be used as an emergency floor lift
The Vita-Lift can also be used for emergency floor lifts when used with the correct sling.
The Vita Lift Advantages
Suitable for quick transfers that involve sitting to stand and back again. Also suitable for transporting people comfortably in a sitting position.
Disadvantages
Like the majority of mobile hoists, the Vita Lift requires flat, level floors & can be challenging to manoeuvre on thick carpets (like most portable hoists). It requires some effort to move and position correctly although on flat, level surfaces the effort is minimal.
It can be challenging to lift from standard domestic beds and seating as the hoists legs need to pass under the furniture. Not usually suitable for people with limited knee joint movement.
