Description
The construction of the HP-4 is based on the “sandwich” principle to absorb and spread any impact or shock force. The HP-4 special needs helmet can be customised with additional features depending on the type of injuries that are being sustained. The HP-4 is available to order with an additional “Enhanced” protection option with a padded front peak and the “Enhanced PLUS” option, which is designed for rearward impacts to the head and has a giant protection pad worked into the back of the headwear. Ask us for more details if you require additional protection.
We can also incorporate additional protection for the chin, cheeks, ears and even a shatterproof full-face visor or additional padded face protection for severe cases.

This special needs head protector is available in multiple configurations, including an “Enhanced” model with a padded front peak.
The “Enhanced PLUS” version is designed for impacts to the rear of the head. It has a large impact protection pad worked into the rear; it covers a bigger area than standard and is designed to transfer impact forces.
Both options can be combined where there is a high risk of falls or impacts in multiple directions.
The HP-4 is a soft helmet which poses less of a risk to carers and loved ones because the helmet is padded and soft.
This makes it much safer if contact is accidentally made with the wearer, as compared with any alternative hard helmets like skateboarding, snow, cycling helmets etc.
We can also incorporate additional protection into the helmet for the chin, cheeks, neck, and ears and even a shatterproof full-face visor or additional padded face protection for severe cases or those at elevated risk of injuries.
The internal leather soft lining gives excellent moisture transport (wicking) and is breathable.
The “closed top” variant includes small holes to allow airflow and heat removal as standard – unless you request us not to!
Standard sizes: 45 to 62 cm head circumference. The HP-4 is also available in custom sizes.
The HP-4 comes in a choice of 5 standard colours. However, different “bespoke” colours are available as an option.
The HP-4 Protective Helmet is intended to provide protection for those at high risk of harm. Our Perfect Fit Assessment Service is required.
This will ensure the best possible fit and avoids incorrect manual measurements. This helps to ensure that the head protector stays on the head – even during falls or impacts. It can also accommodate any existing injuries to the head.
If you require an HP-4 Soft Helmet, contact us to arrange an assessment, where we will discuss the individual issues you are facing and what solutions we can recommend.

If a helmet is damaged in any way, it should not be worn. We would like to emphasize that there is no known device or helmet for preventing 100% of all injuries. Only you, the customer or user, are in a position to evaluate the particular needs of the individual in each environment. It is, therefore, essential that professional and medical expertise be sought in making decisions regarding headgear use.
These helmets are not intended for use as bicycle or equestrian helmets.
